Een collectie met grafische lijnen
Lines have always come naturally to me. They’re always there. In this new series, I began to follow the line. Not as an outline, but as a starting point. Sometimes precise. Sometimes loose.
The line as a starting point
Where I once worked from the object, I now began with the line. A rhythm. A repetition. In this series, lines move across the object. Sometimes they follow its form. Sometimes they move straight through it.
Black, olive beige, and a sense of repetition
A calm olive-beige base with black lines. A combination that creates space and freedom.
A play of direction, density, and rhythm. Each line is drawn by hand.
From object to a whole
Together, the objects form something larger without losing their individuality. Though created separately, they belong together. Through the line. Through the rhythm. Through the way they respond to one another.
A next step in my work
What interests me is how this line keeps returning in other works. Not only in objects, but also in paintings. It moves back and forth. From surface to form. From painting to object. And back again.
New series: a play of lines
In this series, everything comes together: found objects restored and brought back to life. But with a new layer. The line has become graphic. As if it no longer simply lies on the object, but has become part of it.
