Kleverpark Day Market in Haarlem 2025

On May 24, Studio TitForTat took part in Kleverpark Day in Haarlem for the very first time!
The whole neighbourhood came together for a day filled with food, music, and creativity.

In the weeks leading up to the event, I was busy finishing my hand-painted wooden sculptures and other upcycled home décor pieces. Months of work came together in unique creations that were ready just in time for the market:

• Business cards – check!

• Banner – check!

• Printed price list – check!

• Product display – check!

• Paper goodie bags – check!

The weather didn’t quite cooperate, but what’s a Dutch market without a little unpredictability?

I shared a market stall with Studio Epos at the jewellery studio and shop of Arjen Postema.

It was so lovely to see how many people paused for a moment and looked around with curiosity. A few wooden animal sculptures found new homes, often in children’s rooms. With the cheerful wrapping paper and little bags, each piece felt like a thoughtful gift.

What stayed with me most was the genuine interest in the story behind each object. Reuse and sustainable décor clearly resonate. There were already stalls with second-hand items, but how wonderful would it be to see even more upcycled creations in the future?
