Studio TitForTat moves between painting and object.
It starts with color, with lines, with a certain rhythm. And that can translate just as easily into a painting as into an object.

What emerges translates into both paintings and objects.

The same lines, color combinations and layers return again and again, allowing paintings and objects to form a cohesive whole. Not as separate pieces, but as parts of one story.

Intuïtief werken

My way of working is intuitive. I add, remove, and build in layers. There is no fixed system behind it, and that is exactly what allows connections to emerge.

A painting can suddenly carry the same feeling as an object made earlier — or the other way around. Without being consciously designed together, they still align naturally.

Samenhang

It becomes interesting when they come together.

When an object stands in front of a painting, the image shifts. The lines don’t literally continue, but a visual connection appears. As if the pieces reinforce each other.

They stand on their own, while still working together.

By combining a painting with a matching object, you create more depth in your interior.

You’re no longer looking at a single piece, but at a whole: at how shapes, materials, and colors relate to one another. Sometimes calm, sometimes with contrast, but always with character.

It makes a space feel more personal and less flat.
